“FILTHY, RAW, IRONIC, ALLURING, INTOXICATING.” That’s how Creative Director, Stylist and Photographer Brooke Olimpieri describes her work. A native of Las Vegas, Brooke began taking photos in her early 20’s, in the dawn of the Vegas club boom, to which she always had a camera ready to capture countless debacle-filled nights. In an interview with LAST DAZE, she states, “I have some really raw and wild pictures from that time period. I’m sure a few people will be surprised at the images I have of them. We were always fucked up.”

Evident in the raw texture of her shots, Brooke mainly shoots using 35mm film and her images are suggestive of the cultural explosion of the ’80s and early ’90s. Rather than just the photos themselves, perhaps her greatest visual quality is her role as a storyteller. Brooke’s work paints a stunning narrative of the power of ambience, expectation and stolen moments.

She aims to redefine common standards of beauty and female sensuality.

In addition to shooting, Brooke also owns a creative agency/fashion label called Filthy Mouth Creative, to which she sews every piece herself. Starting in December, the platform plans to release a NSFW 48-picture photobook titled Lost Vegas. Published by Imperial, the photobook captures all the glamour, all the grime and all the late-night benders in between.
